YOUR INFORMATION, USED FOR YOUR PURPOSE
Privacy Notice
This notice explains what Alliup collects during the pilot, why we use it, and the choices you have. Last updated September 16, 2026.
The short version
Alliup uses the information you choose to provide to operate your account, understand what you are trying to do, and recommend people who may work well together for that purpose. We do not sell personal information. Businesses, sponsors, schools, and organizations do not receive your private assessment answers, private messages, or identity through Alliup's matching system.
Information we collect
Account and contact information
- Name, email address, mobile number, and account preferences.
- ZIP code and an approximate ZIP-code location used for Local group eligibility. We do not ask for a street address or continuously track your live location.
- If you choose Google sign-in, Google provides basic account information such as your name, email address, and profile image, subject to the permissions shown to you.
Profile and matching information
- Résumé or professional history, education, roles, skills, interests, mentoring preferences, availability signals, and other information you add to your profile.
- Human Dynamics assessment responses, values, communication preferences, behavioral tendencies, and the profile signals derived from those responses.
- Group purposes, location and radius choices, invitations, participation, feedback, and outcome check-ins used to make and evaluate recommendations.
Technical information
We may receive browser, device, session, security, and diagnostic information needed to keep Alliup available, prevent abuse, investigate errors, and improve the service. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and are not stored by Alliup as readable text.
How we use information
- Create and secure your account and provide the features you request.
- Determine eligibility for Local groups and generate purpose-specific, explainable matching recommendations.
- Personalize onboarding, group formation, mentoring, work, campus, and Resource experiences.
- Measure whether recommendations lead to useful conversations, participation, and group outcomes, and improve the matching system over time.
- Send essential account, security, invitation, and service communications.
- Comply with law, enforce our terms, and protect members and the platform.
Recommendations may use automated scoring or analysis, but they are advisory. Members decide whom to invite, join, contact, or trust.
When information is shared
We use service providers to run Alliup, including providers for hosting, databases, authentication, email delivery, monitoring, and security. They may process information only to provide those services under their applicable contracts and policies.
Other members receive only the profile and group information the product is designed to show for a recommendation, invitation, or shared group. Sponsored Resources may be selected using general profile or request signals, but sponsors do not receive your identity or private matching information from Alliup. If you choose to visit, contact, or transact with a third party, that party's own privacy practices apply.
We may disclose information when legally required, to address fraud or safety threats, or as part of a business transaction with appropriate protections and notice where required.
Retention, security, and your choices
We retain information while your account is active and as reasonably needed to provide the service, keep required records, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations. Retention periods depend on the type of information and why it is held.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards. No online service can promise absolute security, so please use a unique password and protect your account.
You may review and update available profile information in Alliup. You may also request access, correction, export, or deletion through the account controls where available or by contacting the support address shown on Alliup's sign-in or authorization screen. Some information may be retained where law or legitimate security needs require it.
Children, changes, and contact
The current Alliup pilot is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We will update this notice when our practices materially change and will post the revised date here. Questions or privacy requests may be sent to the user-support address displayed on Alliup's Google authorization screen.
